"I know what you're going through because I'm living it. As the parent of a chronically-ill child, I know firsthand what it feels like for the world to still be spinning while your heart stands still. The laundry still piles up. The groceries still need buying. The house still needs to run, but your time and attention is focused on your child. This is why I created The Lifestyle Circle. Let us be the comforting care in your circle."
Please share a little about your family and your situation. Alisha reviews every request personally and will reach out directly. Everything shared is held in the strictest confidence.
I have been taking care of homes and the people in them for nearly 30 years. (Yes, I'm really that old. I'm soon to be 50).
I grew up in a large five-bedroom, seven-full bathroom home on 600 acres, where I witnessed my mom master the flow of the everyday tasks that it entailed to run such a large household. I have also lived in a double-wide, a garage apartment, a studio apartment, and a 41' long RV when I traveled the country for two years. I understand homes at every level, and I have never once believed that the size of a space determines the care it deserves.
Over the years I have been a stay-at-home mom, a preschool teacher, a paraprofessional for children with special needs, a pet sitter, and a professional nanny. Every chapter has been some version of the same thing: showing up for people and taking care of the details that make daily life feel manageable.
When my oldest son was 15, he became chronically ill. He is 21 now, and we are still fighting for his return to good health. I know what it feels like to have the world keep spinning when yours has gone completely still. I know what it is like to have very little village around you when you need one the most. I know the exhaustion of caring for and loving someone through something really, really hard while everything in the house still needs to happen; the clothes still need washed, the groceries still need to be shopped for, meals still need to be made, etc.
That experience is the reason The Lifestyle Circle exists. I wanted to find a way to do what I have always loved — caring for people and their homes — while also making sure that families walking the road I walked have one less thing to worry about.
